Welsh fullback Jasmine Joyce Butchers fought back against social media users who criticized him for filming the opposing England players and Tiktok after Saturday’s 67-12 defeat.
Margaine at England’s 55-point Principality Stadium was the biggest tournament ever, denounced Wales for his second loss.
As part of the BBC reporting, Joyce Butchers performed a viral “chicken, banana” dance in Tiktok alongside British Sarah Bern, eliciting some negative reactions.
A review by the Women’s Sports Trust last month showed a major impact on social media, particularly women’s rugby. We are creating more Tiktok scenery in 2024 than Taylor Swift.
“If you don’t love what we do, why do that?” Joyce-Butchers said in an Instagram post.
“Yes, I’m upset, angry, saddened and disappointed with the outcome, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be happy, excited and smiling to see such an amazing crowd supporting us.
“Remember to be kind and give your energy and effort to those who want and accept you for who you are.”
Wales has yet to see a tournament victory that saw a slight loss in the opener against Scotland. They are acting next against France on April 12th.
