Two of MLB’s biggest names have appeared in the World Series this year as the New York Yankees take over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Best of 7 Series to end the season.

Yankees and Dodgers World Series
Fans wouldn’t have been able to seek a better matchup at the end of this year’s playoffs. This is the first time the Yankees and Dodgers have met in the World Series in 39 years, and will host the final postseason match of 1981.

The Dodgers didn’t have as easy a path as the Yankees on the route to the World Series, and they were scared 3-2 in the series that the Mets might pull off an epic comeback to move forward, but that wasn’t for the Carlos Mendoza men, but the blockbuster World Series was set.
Los Angeles won their final series in 1981 when these teams met. They came as favorites to the World Series in this year’s rematch, but there’s such a great margin between the teams and you can expect another thriller.
