WWE superstar Randy Orton appears to have picked a favorite between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After a few days of waiting, the Minnesota Timberwolves ultimately have an opponent in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.

They will take on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the hopes of winning a spot in the Western Conference Finals.

Fans can expect to be on the edge of their seats throughout the series. After all, both sides have a very talented roster led by two superstars.

WWE superstar Randy Orton is widely known as the legendary murderer for his company run when he essentially ended his wrestling legendary career.

Orton appears to want Edwards to take on that role in the NBA. Orton did so by posting an animated image of him giving the Timberwolves superstar a chain with a “Legendary Killer” rocket.

Now the image has two meanings. First, Orton subtly urges Edwards to eliminate Curry and the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Orton nods to Ali to eliminate LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.

After all, the king is widely considered an NBA goat.

Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, was expected to become today’s superstar. There is no doubt that T-Wolves will do everything in their power to keep Ali in Minnesota throughout his career.

While that is likely to happen, the Warriors will certainly regret one decision from the 2020 NBA Draft.

GSW had the opportunity to draft Edwards as the Timberwolves were keen to trade the No. 1 overall pick in 2020. Instead, Dub refused to trade and stuck to the second overall pick.

The Warriors used it to choose James Wiseman and, as we know, it turned out to be a terrible decision. Fast forward to 2025, the Warriors take on “unstopped” Edwards in the second round.
