According to multiple sources, Chelsea has high negotiations with Zabi Simons’ camp and is keen to reach an agreement as soon as possible, wanting to avoid interference from other potential suitors before starting a club-to-club talk with RB Leipzig.
For months, the future of the 22-year-old offensive midfielder is uncertain. Many reports suggest that he is eager to leave Red Bull Arena and begin the next chapter of his career. Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus are all recognized as interested in his services at various points leading up to the opening of the summer transfer window, but the situation at each of those clubs appears to have evolved in other directions.
Only Chelsea is taking concrete steps to sign the Netherlands International.
Simons initially joined Leipzig in 2023 with an 18-month loan from Paris Saint-Germain. He scored 21 goals and produced 23 assists in 76 matches in all the competitions on the Bundesliga side.
