Andrea Locatelli has become an important part of the world’s Superbike Championship Rider Market.
The Yamaha rider was out of contract at the end of this season and reportedly identified by his rival.
BMW has included him as a finalist for a potential alternative to Toprak Razgatlioglu if he loses the WorldSBK champion looking for a MotoGP ride.
Locatelli said:
“We have built a career at Yamaha, so I want to continue with them, and one day I want to be someone important to Yamaha.
“I feel that Yamaha has this potential, but at the same time, I need to look at my career.
“We need to look at everything and understand which is the best option for me and my future.
“At this point, I just want to think about riding my bike, giving it everything and winning at Yamaha.”

Pata Maxus Yamaha Rider Locatelli won race 2 in Assen due to the absence of injured team meme Jonathan Leah.
It was Locatelli’s 154th World SBK race, and it was the longest rider had done before the Maiden victory.
“In the end, we won our first race two in Assen,” Rocatelli said.
“I think it’s a good moment for me, my career, my whole team, because we’ve been a believer for many years.
“In Yamaha, we never lost focus. We worked really hard every weekend. Finally, at Assen, we got our first victory.
“I think we deserve it, especially at this point in the season, that was a good moment.
“I want to keep trusting and pushing hard because I need more. I feel a little angry, so I’m going to keep pushing like this and try to do more.
“This was very strange because we saw him slow down after the finish line, and we thought we already thought we had taken the checkered flag.
“I didn’t lose focus. I was behind him and I was pushing the full throttle all the way to the end.
The fifth round of 2025, World Subbook, the Czech Republic, is this weekend.
