Josh Giddey entered the offseason as one of the NBA’s top restricted free agents.
After defining his career for the 2024-25 NBA season, Josh Giddy was expected to score a massive payday from the Chicago Bulls.
After a long deadlock, the Bulls eventually re-signed Giddy to a four-year, $100 million deal. The move comes days after Cam Thomas’ agreement with the Brooklyn Net.
NBA fans feel that Giddey’s deal is worthy of the franchise, even at $25 million a year.
The 2024-25 NBA season marked the end of Zach Labine’s career with the Bulls, which was traded with the Sacramento Kings.
Lavine is no longer a member of the Bulls, but she assured her that she would share a short but solid response to Giddy’s New Deal.
“I deserve my man!” Lavine commented under Giddey’s Instagram post.
The 22-year-old averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game for the Bulls last season. Giddey’s numbers should be a notch as he prepares for his fifth year in the NBA.
Besides Thomas and Giddy, Jonathan Cuminga remains the best-limited free agent. Like these two, Cuminga and the Golden State Warriors are in a stalemate over his new deal.
However, Giddey reportedly will help Kuminga negotiate with Warriors by signing a huge $100 million deal.
Ultimately, the Cuminga camp requested a similar deal from the dub, but in its final year there are player options.
With NBA training camp approaching, the next few weeks could determine Kuminga’s future fate with the Warriors.
