Zimbab Epasa Kundaimati Gym was fined 15% of his match fee for violating Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during his second ongoing test against South Africa at Bulawayo. The incident unfolded on the 72nd day of South Africa’s first innings.
After a follow-through, Kundai Mathigim threw it to young South African batsman Rouen des Pretorius, and hit him on his wrist from a little distance.

The Zimbabwean bowler was convicted of violating Article 2.9 of the ICC Code of Conduct. This deals with “throwing the ball (or other cricket equipment) at or near a player in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner during an international match.”

Matigimu accepted crime and sanctions. This was proposed by Match Judge Emirates ICC Elite Panel Ranjan Madugalle, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
In addition to the fine, one downside point has been added to Matigimu’s disciplinary record. This is his first crime within 24 months.
