The Los Angeles , boasting the addition of multiple superstars to the 2024 World Series title and roster, are the team of the season.
The ‘ spending habits and ability to acquire top talent puts goals on the franchise’s back. And the two-time All-Star Max Mancy understands that the MLB team is aiming to beat LA this year.

“We always felt there was a target on our backs,” Muncie told Bill Plunkett on the Orange County Register. “It was like that last year. It was the previous year. And we didn’t have the title of that year. That’s always been the case.”
Los Angeles is looking for back-to-back World Series titles, which puts the pressure on even higher. For Muncie, pressure is part of the job.
“It’s part of playing for the ,” Muncie added. “That’s why the Doctor says it’s not easy to play for the . You’re playing major league baseball, you’re playing for the , and that’s not easy.”
Muncie believes the are facing the best version of their opponents, adding to the pressure to play in Los Angeles. He said his performance improved when the Plunkett team played for the Stadium.
“I talk about it every year. We see it in the scouting report – the guy throws 93, 94 (mph) and plays him at Stadium on Friday night, he’s 96, 97,” Muncie said.

Muncie joined the in 2017, and he was part of the team that won two World Series. The 34-year-old believes that Stadium’s aura and its crowd have enhanced the players’ performance.
“You’re watching it all the time, part of that is the aura of playing at Stadium,” Muncie said. “We have 50,000 people more than anywhere else in baseball. The lights are bright. The music is a little bit bigger. It’s all just part of the aura we play at Stadium.”
Los Angeles completed the first regular season home series of Saturday’s season and cleaned up the Detroit Tigers. They followed that, winning the Atlanta Braves 6-1, moving to 6-0, 4-0 a year at Stadium.
For now, the seem to play the best baseball game at Stadium.
