Throughout five games, the Knicks have the Pistons in the 3-2 series lead and the first round. Detroit faced elimination Tuesday night. However, they held on the Knicks with a 106-103 victory.

After the game, the Knicks moved Mikal Bridges forward. He was asked how the team could fix the slow start that had a piston and a piston in the third quarter. The bridge had a simple response. He proposed a layup line for the Knicks. It seems like an elementary school, but it could be a revision of New York’s needs in the second half.

Will Tom Thibodeau receive the suggestion of layup line Mikal Bridges to start the second half?

Christian Winfield: “What can you do to get stronger from halftime?”

Mikal Bridges: “idk man… maybe do some layup lines… get everyone moving… we had the same situation in Phoenix… I think that’s all… just like we say, “play hard”… And yet don’t get it done… maybe warm up…” pic.twitter.com/zr6xi4ww3l

Starting the third quarter has slowly become a problem for the series vs. Detroit Knicks. Piston is a defensively connected team, which plagues New York as they start the second half. Throughout five games, the Knicks’ best third quarter was Game 1 with 26. This was also the lowest scoring quarter of the game against the Pistons in Game 2, which scored 18 points in the second quarter.

New York scored only 14 points in the third quarter of Game 4, but still managed to win. In Game 5, the Knicks took a one-point lead at halftime. However, they lost up to nine points midway through the third quarter. After Tuesday’s 106-103 defeat, Mikal Bridges spoke to the media. They asked what the Knicks could do to fix their slow start in the second half.

Bridge proposed a layup line in the third quarter to fix the issue. He noted that he had a similar problem while he was with the Phoenix Suns. They made a slow start in the second half and warmed up in the third quarter using a layup line. That’s a pretty simple fix, but who knows whether Tom Thibodeau would make a proposal? Anyway, the Knicks have a 3-2 series lead-to-piston. They will be closing the series with Game 6 on Thursday night.
