Vitor Belfort announced at UFC Hall of Fame Pioneer Wing

Vitor Belfort can add UFC Hall of Famer to his legendary achievement list.

During the Saturday UFC 315 airing in Montreal, Belfort was announced as the latest member of the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Belfort, 48, was at Bell Centre to celebrate the moment.

Check out Belfort’s reaction to the announcement below.

Belfort will be taking part in the Pioneer Wing of the Hall of Fame.

With 26 appearances in multiple promotional stints, Belfort established himself as a multi-division threat with a horrifying knockout power, competing for UFC Gold on five different occasions. He actually won the light heavyweight title by winning Randy Couture at UFC 46. This has blew its achievements due to a match that ended with freak cuts that prevented couture from continuing. Couture defeated Belfort in the subsequent rematch.

Anyway, Belfort has achieved many successes in his career competing in UFC, pride and suffering among other prominent organizations. In addition to Belfort’s two fights with Couture, he fought John Jones, Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman in the UFC where Belfort was most famous.

Among Belfort’s prominent knockout victories are Dan Henderson, Wonderray Silver, Michael Bispin, Luke Rockhold and Rich Franklin.

Belfort was billed as a superstar from the first day of his UFC debut at the age of 19 in February 1997. At UFC 12, “The Phenom” won a one-night heavyweight tournament, combining two minutes to beat Scott Ferrozzo and Trateligman. He followed that with a 52-second knockout from UFC 13’s Tank Abbott, further boosting his burgeoning profile.

Now he will join the UFC Pioneer Wings, including Brazilian legends Anderson Silva, Wonderray Silva, Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell and Couture.

Other inductees scheduled for the June 28th ceremony at T-Mobile Arena include two division champion Amanda Nunes, former UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler (Modern Wing), classic UFC 236 title crash between Israeli Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum (Fight Wing), and producer Craig Piligian (Contributor Wing).
