Israel Adesanya and Joaquin Buckley are definitely not fans of each other.
Last Saturday, Buckley squared with Adesanya’s friend Kamal Usman in the main event at UFC Atlanta. Of course, Adesanya watched in favor of his fellow “African King,” but before the battle began, “The Last Style Bender” had some harsh words for Buckley.
“I hate this n*gga, bro,” Adesanya said on her YouTube channel. “I don’t use the word ‘hate’ lightly, but I hate this n*gga.
“Literally, I’m just trying to relax. ‘Hey guy, we have to wake up this, he’s rapping, he’s every time. He’s just annoying.
Adesanya’s hatred was rewarded as Usman won the dominant decision over Buckley and scored a vintage performance at UFC Atlanta. Despite the loss, Buckley remained well and was happy enough to return to Adesanya on Monday.
“The farmers who had the belt hate farmers that were not me, not me.
Buckley began his UFC career in the middleweight division. There, the candid “new mantha” were always trying to raise the ranks. Some losses derailed those ambitions at 185 pounds, but after falling to welterweight in 2023, Buckley was in tears and had six straight wins before losing to Usman on Saturday.
