It is clear that Tottenham will need important signatures to improve their Premier League form last season, and will close Thomas Frank’s first major addition to his team ahead of the launch of the 2025-26 campaign next month.
In recent weeks, Tottenham has moved to signing Mohamed Kudus from London’s rival West Ham. Chelsea also shows interest in Ghana International, but he has made it clear that he only wants to head north of the English capital.
Negotiations are underway between Tottenham and West Ham, but these are now over.
Tottenham agrees to a contract with West Ham for Mohamed Kudus
According to David Ornstein, Tottenham has signed a deal with West Ham and signed Kudos, which amounts to a total package of £55 million. The 24-year-old, who scored five goals and three assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season, will travel for medical tests before signing a new contract that will last six years.
Kudus can play on either wing. This is extremely valuable to Tottenham. He will also have to accumulate a lot of playing time in the Champions League as he competes with Brennan Johnson, Dejan Crucevsky and his son Heungmin at the starting spot at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kudus will gain an extra edge of dynamism against Tottenham’s offense next season, and his arrival should allow the Europa League champions to perform better in the Premier League.
However, more additions will be required before the summer transfer period closes at the beginning of September, and it is still unknown who joined Kudos in north London.
