According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal is reportedly currently at the forefront of the relocation of Salford City Wonderkid Striker Will Wright.

The journalist posted an update on the story after first claiming that Liverpool was giving an advanced talk to sign the Lights.

Arsenal appears to have moved ahead to Liverpool for the signature of a teenager who had offered more money to Salford the Reds didn’t want to match.

For the latest update to X, see below as Arsenal claims to be leading the race for Wright’s signature.

Not many 17-year-olds have clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool chasing this way, so it would be interesting to see how he develops from here.

If this deal were to be made, it appears that the gunners had filmed one of the country’s top prospects.

This follows a generally positive summer transfer window at Emirates Stadium, followed by Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Alizabaraga and Christian Norgaard so far.

Meanwhile, the transaction between Noni Maduke and Cristuthian Mosquera should be next agreed to Viktor Gyokeres’ transactions in principle. Catch off side Yesterday’s column.

Liverpool has been fair and brought in some powerful signatures, bringing in Florian Wiltz, Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerkez, but has also been linked by Athletics to Alexander Isaac and Hugo Ekitique.
