The latest in Arsenal’s transfer plansWhy Rodrigo is Arsenal’s best signing since RiceMartinelli Upgrade: Arsenal’s Major Race for the “Horrible” £42 million sense

Is Arsenal without Declan Rice? During the 2024/25 campaign, he made the £105 million price tag look like a bargain, if possible.

Send another £100 million to West Ham, the loyal Emirates cried out. very. Rice put some extraordinary performances through the campaign’s backend.

Who can forget the free kick against Real Madrid? The gunner is sincerely eager to erase the semi-final exit with the hands of PSG, but no one will forget his stunning display.

When everything was said and done, Rice finished the campaign with the best goals and assists in a single season, earning nine times and registering 10 assists in all competitions.

Therefore, it was little surprising to see him crowned the fans of the season for his efforts.

This summer, they now want to guide the transfer ship to replicate their deal with Andrea Berta.

The latest in Arsenal’s transfer plans

This has certainly been a busy few weeks for Berta since joining the club, but he has already got his hands dirty, especially tying Gabriel to a new contract.

Elsewhere, it is reportedly a major move on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco, which is how he can add to the current group.

However, as reported by Athletic’s David Ornstein, Arsenal could be on the market with three forwards with a center forward, a left winger and a right winger with a right winger playing a second fiddle to Bukayosaka.

On the left, you may arrive by Rodrigo from Real Madrid. Reports over the past few weeks suggest that gunners have a strong interest in Brazilians, and are now expected to raise interest next week.

According to a report from Spain, “Arsenal has “decided to go out all” to sign the 24-year-old, and can “pleasantly submit” a bid of 700 million euros (£59 million) to close the transaction.

The coaching staff and Berta are in line with the fact that Rodrigo will be the “ideal” profile he will bring to North London this summer.

Why Rodrigo is Arsenal’s best signing since Rice

Two years ago, Edu and Arteta gathered to seal the biggest transfer in the club’s history.

Arsenal shunned competition primarily with title rival Manchester City, bringing rice in an astonishing deal totaling £105 million from the east to North London. It took me a while to cross the line, but it was worth it.

Naturally, Arteta and Co are not approaching their fees as business is desired in the transfer market.

Last summer was decent on the surface, but Arsenal wasn’t close to winning the league. In fact, they certainly had a poor season at the domestic level.

David Raya signed forever last summer, sharing the Golden Gloves in particular with Matt Seltz, but Riccardo Carafioli endured an injury season and Mikel Merino, oddly, didn’t show he really could do it until he became a makeshift striker.

The Spaniard became a rather passionate fan favorite from his first few months in the UK, but he finished the season with six goals in 12 games as a striker. Certainly he’s not signed, but he’s entered himself and scored in Spain this weekend.

So Arsenal needs to make a splash this summer. They need that rice-esque deal to get them closer to the Premier League title, and Rodrigo might be just that.

Certainly, centre forward is needed, but the left side output was not sufficient on 2024/25, especially when Bukayosaka was injured.

Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are the best players to join the team, but the final product has yet to reach dizzy height.

Martinelli scored for the Bernabéu this season, but that was just one of 10 goals in 51 games, with goals every 5.1 games. As for Trossard, he scored 10 points, but did so in 56 games. In other words, the Belgians found the net every 5.6 games.

Rodrygo ensures you upgrade at the moment when you have the ability to open the game.

The Madrid star, who is in the shadow of Spain’s Vini Jr. and Killian Mbappe, found a way to score 14 in 51 matches last season, once every 3.6 games. In 2023/24 he got even better, scoring 17 times and 19 times a year ago. He is a scorer and above that he is better than Martinelli.

Martinelli’s best campaign in the UK beat the goalkeeper for the 15th time in 2022/23, and although he’s still young, he’s actually a junior at Rodrigo.

He is described as “one of the best in the world” by his former boss, Carlo Ancelotti. This is a sublime signature. If he finds a way to replace Martinelli and Torosad, his impact on this team may certainly be similar to Rice.
