Liverpool reportedly placed a transfer bid for Eintrohat Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitique, who has already agreed to a six-year deal at Anfield.
The French forward has recently been strongly tied to Liverpool and other clubs after his excellent form in the Bundesliga last season.
Ekitike has previously been described as “very special” by former Reims manager Oscar Garcia, as Chronicle quoted.
Updates this morning are skyrocketing, as Athletic David Ornstein reported Liverpool is moving forward with Ekitique.

Liverpool bids on Hugo Ekichike and agrees to a six-year deal
Romano said: “Liverpool has submitted an official bid to Entracht for Hugo Ekichke! Eintracht has already informed Liverpool that he wants more. #LFC. ”
Meanwhile, Hawkins said:Hugo Ekitike and Liverpool have reached an agreement over a six-year agreement. Players only want Liverpool. In the final 24 hours he rejected Manchester United. Newcastle has already left the meeting. Ongoing negotiations between Frankfurt and Liverpool. ”
At this point, all this seems pretty definitive. This is extremely exciting news for Liverpool fans. Their club has already introduced all three members so far this summer: Florian Wiltz, Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerkes.
Will anyone be able to catch Liverpool next season?
Liverpool won the Premier League title easily in 2024/25, but they clearly haven’t messed around with their work in the transfer market.
Ekitike looks like he’s going to be a great addition, and LFC fans will be pleased that, according to Hawkins’ post, they rejected their bitter rival Manchester United for the move to Anfield.
Red Devils could have come forward as a massive upgrade to flops like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
However, the Liverpool project is a much more engaging project, with Arne Slot putting together a team that will make the next semester much more favourite for the title again.
