Memorial Day weekend was a few days behind for US MMA fans without UFC or PFL events, but the fight fans were offered plenty of action Brazilian MMA.
LFA’s latest trip to Brazil took place at the high-end resort in Cuiaba, with the highly-known Strawweight outlook and two-time Imahu world champion Aiezabertoluso improved his winning streak to 20 with a three-round submission for one veteran Samara Santos. The 23-year-old talent is currently 6-0 as a professional with a four-finish finish.
Later that night, Wathe Welterweight Reginaldo’s battle with juniors improved to 10-1 with a 88-second knockout from Gilberto Sousa. He has now won four consecutive times. In the lightweight division, Juan Pablo Vieira improved to 4-0 under the LFA banner and 9-0 overall with Carlos Cavalcante’s smooth first round armbar.
In the co-main event of LFA 209, Hosylton Santos folded the previously undefeated Carlos Petruzzella with his right hand in round one.
In early qualifying, Queava’s own Netropez unconsciously made Lucas Farius the perfect spinning wheel kicked one minute into the fight. Lopez is currently 4-0 as a pro with a 100% finish rate. Matthews Severino, a brother to UFC veteran Igor Severino, recorded his 14th professional victory with Jose Carlos Lima’s first round ground pound knockout.
The LFA relied on the prospect of rising, but the Thunderfight was called a veteran of the ring, and he did a short work on 1-3 fighter Clayton Monteiro, who was overmatched in Round 1 by 71-match veteran Jorge Patino “Macaco” on Saturday’s show in Sao Paulo.
In the co-main event, Caio Machado knocked out Everton Bass Concelos with his first fight back from a 0-3 run under the UFC banner. Israeli fighter Sean Pero moved to Brazil to train as a combat nerd in Sao Paulo, then put Rennan Gama on the floor with a head kick to go 6-1 professionally.
Earlier that night, Shoot Box’s Ryan Banantan made cornerman Charles Oliveira with a smooth knee bar.
At Jungle Fight 136 in Sao Paulo, Laura Vas Concelos defended the Strawweight Championship by blowing up Laura Fontola, while Vanderleigh Gon Salves stopped Anderson Nascimento to unify the welterweight title.
The flyweight match between Guilherme Alves and Douglas Silva ended in controversy after Alves scored a knockout in 31 seconds, but the replay showed that Silva left behind was an illegal knee. Alves was declared the winner by knockout, but the promotion did not overturn it on Monday.
Manuela Vitoria won her professional debut when the first Body to the Body hurt Lala Guthal.

Chingis Idrissov, a protégé of Kazakhstan’s Pitbull Brothers, made his specialist debut at Brasil Grand Champion 5 in Paraiba, finishing Valdeno Brito in the first round of TKO.
The event also saw violent finishes for Rodrigo Araujo, Clayson Costa and Everson Sousa.
Also on Saturday night, SFT held the 56th card for Brasilia, the top and top in two title fights. In the headliner, Irwing Machado defended the belt in a violent way, first cooling off Rafael Celestino.
Bianca Sattelmayer made a five-round decision over one championship veteran Dayane Cardoso, earning a vacant strawweight belt in the co-main event, with the undercard being action packed with several nasty finishes.
Ellismar Lima entered the cage for his 51st professional fight and stopped Alan Silberio in 77 seconds, but Wildmar Santos forced Marcos Atira to tap with a rear choke within three minutes.
Raul Soares and Altamiro Neto also secured a nice knockout and demolished Leonard Ribeiro and Diego Costa for the TKO victory.
