On Sunday evening, the Warriors were on their path to face the Rockets in Game 7. Golden State may have shut down the Games 5 and 6 series.
However, Houston had a second straight win to force Game 7. The Rockets only had a decline after three-quarters, but were unable to recover. After a historic season from the Rockets, they were once again bouncing off by Steph Curry and the Warriors. Curry had a modest game for the 20-point standard. It was Buddy Heald, a playoff career-high 33 points and 9 rockets and nine maids.

On a night when Steph Curry had no vintage playoff performances, Buddy Hield stepped up for the Warriors. He scored 33 points 33 points 33 points 33 points against the Rockets in Game 7. Hield was 12-15 out of the field and 9-11 over the arc. Hield’s 33 points at the new playoff career high. Additionally, he tied the most 3-pointer NBA record in Game 7. HIELD scored 22 of 33 points at halftime, earning six three-pointers. The 32-year-old hit his final three pointers in the fourth quarter with 18.7 seconds left. That gave Hield 33 points and nine works. Hield started four of the Warriors’ seven games in the 2025 postseason. Sunday’s Game 7 victory allowed Golden State to advance to the conference semi-finals.
Golden State is the seventh #7 seed in NBA history and will advance to the conference semi-finals. Plus, it’s the fifth time the Warriors have removed Rockets from the playoffs since 2015. In Round 2, the Warriors face the #6 seed Timberwolve. Minnesota beat the Lakers in five games to advance to the conference semi-finals.
