The Minnesota Timberwolves took the LA Lakers 2-1 series lead.
The series between the third Seedra Lakers and the sixth Seed Minnesota Timberwolves is one of the most difficult.
Both methods could shaking, but after Game 3, it’s the Timberwolves who will have the advantage following a 116-104 victory, with a home advantage in Game 4 as well.
The Timberwolves’ victory was shaken by massive performances from Jaden McDaniels (30 points) and Anthony Edwards (29 points).
And it was young superstar Anthony Edwards who received many praise following his important victory.
Former LA Lakers player Byron Scott had positive words about Anthony Edwards’ performance in Game 3.
Scott was impressed by the way he cracked the Lakers’ defense and made a big appearance at the most important moments of the game.
Speaking to the Lakers postgame show on Spectrum, Scott explained:
“When the Lakers tried to double him on the three-point line, he could break into containment, get to the basket and find others.
“You have to give him a lot of credit, especially if the Lakers are on how to protect this guy when the game is on the line, you have to go back to the drawings.
“He was spectacular tonight.”
Lakers legend Michael Cooper predicts the team will go all the way to the finals, but his former teammate James Worthy was rueed to a costly turnover of the team’s loss.
He also praised Anthony Edwards’ 29-8-8 performance, acknowledging that he is a different maker.
Worthy said: “Ant Edwards is a young kid who is learning the game really fast. He’s difficult to deal with.
“In Game 2, I thought they did a good job of keeping him in. It wasn’t bad early tonight, but he loosened up in the second, third and fourth quarters and really took over the game in the last five minutes.”
Edwards enjoys the fact that the Timberwolves are underdogs, and he wants to shine when the light is brightest. And once again, he showed that he could deliver.
