However, his lack of consistency was a major storyline at the beginning of this season. He enters April 25th, hitting only 183, which includes only five extra-bass hits in 71 at-bats.

In a short two-game series with the Chicago Cubs, the pages appeared to turn the corner a little after a slow start. Roberts continued to express his confidence to the younger outfielders.
“I feel comfortable putting him anywhere in the outfield,” Roberts said. “The last few games with the bat make him seem much more confident. And obviously, he’s been much better defense over the past 7-10 days. He’s played really well.”
As depicted in these two clips, the page made some big plays on the road. He threw Ian’s hap out of the left field with a throw clocked at 97 mph. This is the second hardest throw from the outfielder, according to this year’s Statcast.
In the two-game series, Page scored three runs and three hits. Two of them were Homer.
Assuming the page is stable and reliable everyday players, it will go a long way in extending the lineup that production desperately needs.
The bottom half is scary for a few weeks. Page was responsible for switching back and forth between multiple outfield spots. It’s great to own this kind of versatility, but the bat hasn’t been rounded yet.
