The in Los Angeles are counting down several minutes apart until the Clayton Carshow returns to the mound on Saturday.
Most likely, future Hall of Fame Hall of Fame is guaranteed to return from the offseason of Multislajee, but the 37-year-old is now back on a team that is lacking in health. That being said, manager Dave Roberts knows that Kershaw’s return to the Bump is far from novelty for fans to celebrate the 18th season of MVP.
The skipper revealed that Kershaw is accepting it, not just for the challenge.
“Clayton worked so hard to get healthy,” Roberts said. “The bar is high for him. He just doesn’t want to be active. He wants to come back and help us win baseball games and do good.”
Kershaw knows the situation where he will return. And while it’s easier to return to the winning lap with an amazing MLB career, the MVP is embracing the moment.
“I’m excited to start again and compete,” Kershaw said. “I’m excited to do that because I want to be part of this team’s contribution. It’s been a long time. I’m not going there anymore and pitching at Stadium.”
Southpaw is scheduled to return against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
