Draymond Green believes he is or dies for the OKC Thunder in Game 7, not just for the rest of their future, but also for the rest of their future.
NBA fans will be treated to two of the best terms of basketball this Sunday. Game 7. The Indiana Pacers have driven the Oklahoma City Thunder to Game 7 in the NBA Finals.
The Pacers performed incredible, closing lightning on both ends. In fact, the Thunder set a new record against the Pacers, causing a six-minute scoring drought.
Jalen Williams has had a terrible performance historically, finishing the game with -40 in the Plus/Minus category.
Their poor performance has become important and now the OKC Thunder and Indiana Pacers will play in the 20th NBA Game 7 in Finals history.
But it’s not just the lightning line championship, according to Draymond Green. That’s their future as a franchise.
Speaking on the podcast, Draymond Green previewed Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Thunder and the Pacers.
Using his own experience in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Green pointed out that Thunder is facing pressure at home. And if Pacer completes the miraculous victory, he does not expect Thunder to recover emotionally from the loss.
“It’s a coin flip. All you need is a Kyrie Irving shot, one LeBron James Chase Down block to flip the game. That’s what OKC is against. They were supposed to win.
“Indiana is coming out, but it’s coming out on a free swing and it’s relaxed like, “We had nothing to lose, we were never supposed to be here in the first place.”
“I want to see what OKC is trying to do because if OKC doesn’t win this championship, it could not win the championship.
“I think they’re in a tough position if they can’t win the championship. When you get the chance to win the championship, if you win it, you give yourself a chance to win more.
“But if you lose it, you now start tweaking things and those tweaks can drive you farther than you.”
It’s hard to say which teams have the advantages to head into the game. The Oklahoma City Thunder plays from home and can claim that they have an advantage as they have already won Game 7 in these playoffs.
But at the same time, Thunder had the opportunity to put together the series in Game 6. Instead, they performed the worst playoff performances to date.
And in doing so, Pacer still had the best performance and gained confidence in Game 7.
What makes this even more beneficial to the Pacers is that they can win at the Thunder house.
As things stand, Game 7 is too close to making a call. This is why NBA fans are so excited. Because you can watch emergency and desperate basketball from the two best NBA teams. And anyone who wins will wind up the Larry O’Brien trophy.
