The Dallas Mavericks, who played just 33 games this season, left an incredible impression on Draymond Green.
Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green has been in the league for 13 years. During his career, he faced many stars.
Even with the Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Chris Paul Reed Houston Rockets.
To remember, he spent his entire career with Stephen Curry with the Warriors. With that in mind, Green recently fell in love with the Dallas Mavericks player’s game, but that’s not Anthony Davis.
Posting the infamous Luka Doncic trade, Mavericks also dealt with a string of injuries, which made them unable to reach the NBA Play-in Tournament.
The Mavs have a chance to win the Memphis Grizzlies to earn the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
Davis, Daniel Gafford and Derrick Lively play important roles in that, but the contributions of third-year point guard Brandon Williams cannot be overlooked. In fact, even Draymond was surprised after playing Williams during the regular season.
“They did well with their young child, Brandon Williams. He’s tough. He spent a year playing in Dallas. I was like ‘woah’. Green said.
“It’s okay, he can play, I like kids,” he added.
Irving has appeared during the season with an ACL injury, but the 2016 NBA champions have assured him that he will share his wisdom with the Mavs roster.
In fact, Williams admitted he regularly talks with Kylie, and the results were seen during the Mavs victory over the Toronto Raptors.
“Whatever I need, whatever I want to learn, the office is right there. Kylie is a single call… I admire Kylie,” Williams once said.
Well, the 25-year-old had 17 points and five assists in just 18 minutes off the bench between the Play-In victory and the Sacramento Kings, so it appears that Irving’s teachings are at work for Williams.
