The Los Angeles didn’t have Dustin May pitching skills from the beginning of their 2023 campaign until the beginning of the month.

Not only did he return from a major elbow surgery in May, he suffered a life-threatening abnormal injury with a momentary notification. The 27-year-old from Texas has not only improved his performance on the mound despite everything he’s experienced, but he expects that he’s only getting better.

“I think we’ll get into the swing of things earlier this year,” May said. “I mean, I’ve only been nine months since my esophageal surgery. I’m still regaining strength. Being able to put my jersey back on is an accomplishment.

May was first closed in May 2023, with the second career elbow lengery, a Tommy John revision to repair the flexor tendon. The illicit parts of the salad changed his life as he was about a month away from completing his rehabilitation program and rejoining the roster.

The pitcher ruptured his esophagus and demanded what he described as “essentially complete abdominal surgery.” This clearly eliminated him for more, but his return to MLB has been special up until now.

May sports 1.06 ERA with 14 strikeouts in his three starts. The pitcher may have been out of the game for a while until 2025, but it was never questioned in his mind that he would not bring the same thing whenever he came back.

“I didn’t think I would come back,” May said. “I didn’t know that it was just as effective as I hadn’t been selling for so long. So, that was the thought process behind everything – were you going to play the same way you used to? But mine is pretty much the same, it’s still pretty good.”

I’m sure May will not only increase his speed a few times, but will not only surpass his current dominance, but will only get his speed. fans hope he can stay on the mound and continue in healthy and effective ways.
