Arsenal expert Charles Watts has his say on rumours of a continuing transfer attacked by gunners and Crystal Palace on midfielder Ebeki Eze, and Real Madrid forward Rodrigo.
Speaking exclusively Catch off side In his column yesterday, Watts suggested that both players were interested in Arsenal this summer.
However, he tilted Eze as a more realistic deal for the gunners. This is probably due to the finances involved, but he also made it clear that for now it is difficult to predict.
It doesn’t seem easy for Arsenal to be able to buy either player. You may need sales first.
Still, when we were pushed to ask if AIDS or Rodrigo was hoping to end at Emirates Stadium, Watts gave us his best guess.
Eveleti Eze Arsenal’s transfer is more likely than Rodrigo goes
“We know we’re interested in Ebeki Eze, but at this point, it’s my understanding that the speech was only given with representatives from England International, not Crystal Palace,” Watts said.
“Rodrigo is another player on the club’s radar and after lacking time to play in the Club World Cup, the future of the Brazilians has appeared in great form at Real Madrid.
“Of the two, they’d say Eze would say it’s easier from a purely financial perspective, but they couldn’t say where the club was heading right now.
“Both are interesting players, but I think they’ll fall into the finances involved. Arsenal has already spent a lot of money this summer, so maybe they’ll need to do a bit of work trying to balance the book a little before they can complete the final piece of Jigsaw from the perspective of the team’s final view.”
Who can Arsenal sell to fund the relocation of Eze or Rodrigo?
Watts cited several players he appears to be on sale to help the AFC make sure their finances are in the right form before pursuing another major signature.
He states: “It appears that all new arrivals are suddenly very bloated and Andrea Berta is looking for takers for players like Reiss Nelson, Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko.”
