With Dominique Calvert Lewin heading towards the exit door, Everton is reportedly ready to turn his attention to the La Liga star and match the release clause of over £30 million.

Everton loses Calvert Lewin

Calvert-Lewin’s contract status has been rumbling for a while. But in reality, for academy alumni, who seem destined to leave as free agents at the end of this month, the new contract was never truly thought of.

It puts Toffee in an interesting position. They would not have been eager to lose the academy alumni, but Calvert Lewin’s shape and injury history in recent years made him very little Merseyside master, especially when he found his foot under David Moet late last season.

The situation has been tough at times, but Calvert Lewin’s drop-off is undeniable. From scoring 16 goals in one season, he finally enters his life and finds his best form, the forward has managed a total of 12, a total of 12 over the past three seasons. For all involved, the exit makes perfect sense.

That said, Everton has to replace the 28-year-old, and they seem to know that well. The Friedkin Group has already tried to make a statement by winning the race to sign Liam Dellup in Ipswichtown.

Now they are back to the drawings. Before the new era, the marquee signing to lead the line was certainly unmistakable. After missing Dellup, the big question is who Everton will become in the coming months.

Rumors are thick and fast about the La Liga star, but they have similar release clauses to Dellup mentioned above.

Everton is ready to match Tierno Barry’s release clause

According to TeamTalk, Everton is ready to meet the release clause for Thierno Barry this summer. People from Merseyside who were first interested in Villarreal Forward are reportedly ready to bolster their moves to launch a transfer business with La Liga stars.

It’s obvious to see why Everton wants to push their moves for Barry. The 22-year-old started quickly at Villarreal last season, winning the praise of scout Jacek Kulig, who called him an “exciting CF investment,” and was then stolen more afterwards.

Toffee can sign a very experienced star…

By the time he reached the conclusion last season, Barry had found the backstage of the net in 19 times in all competitions. If Everton welcomes a marquee to sign to start a summer business, he should be at the top of their wish list.
