Manchester United are no longer considering signing left-back, and are clearing the path for Liverpool to target Bournemouth’s Milos Kerquez.
It was according to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive video post Catch off sideItalian journalists are a daily briefing discussing potential outgoings in Bournemouth this summer.
Man Utd had linked to many left backs a few months ago, but eventually signed Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu in January.
Reuben Amorim will certainly stick to the talented Young Danish International in his position, but Luke Shaw is also an option for Portuguese tacticians.
This may be good news for Liverpool as Liverpool is pursuing Kerquez this summer.
Liverpool is linked to both Milos Kerkez and Dean Huyssen
Liverpool, as Romano also revealed, wants to sign Dean Huyssen this summer, and Kerquez appears to be someone who has been on the list for a while.
“Milos Kerquez doesn’t have a release clause, but I’m interested again from Liverpool,” Romano said.
“Kerquez is on the list at Liverpool and there is also interest from more clubs, so Hungarian International is another player expected to be an interesting case to follow in the summer transfer window.
He added: “Along with seeing what happens later in the window, Bournemouth is trying to keep some of the key players, so it won’t be an easy negotiation for both Cerquez and (Antoine) Semeño.
“Along with Kerquez, Liverpool had already shown interest a few months ago. Man United was enthusiastic, but since then they invested in Patrick Dorg, they are no longer looking for players in that position.”
Kerkez has been impressed at Bournemouth this season, and it appears that could be an upgrade to the aging Andrew Robertson on the left side of the LFC back.
