Michael Bispin is betting on the house that Topuria vs. Pimblett will be heading the UFC’s MSG card later this year.
Following Charles Oliveira’s sensational opening round knockout at UFC 317 in Las Vegas, Pinblett stepped into the Octagon and engaged in a fiery showdown with the newly crafted lightweight world champion.
The incident caused fans to saliva at the possibility of seeing two top stars squared on MMA’s biggest stage.
And while Dana White was pretty upset about her postwar encounter within the octagon, “Count” almost certainly believes that Topuria vs. Pimblett will not only clash in 2025, but within the world’s most famous arena.
“Can Paddy take that kind of shot? I don’t know,” Bispin said on his YouTube channel. “Can Paddy put him down? I don’t know. Is Paddy hanging on the ground? Can Paddy submit him too? I don’t know about that either. But what do those questions answer when fighting at Madison Square Garden?
If Paddy Pimblett wants a crack in the new lightweight champion in the UFC, he may need to go through “The Highlight” first
Topuria vs. Pimblett may fall very well later this year, but according to Minderweight King King Dricus du Plessis, “The Baddy” will have to pass Justin Gaethje first.
In a recent interview, “DDP” claimed that Pimblett vs. ‘The Highlight’ would co-main the event UFC 319. This is a card that will feature Du Plessis, defending the 185-pound crown against the undefeated Chechnya monster Khamzat Chimaev.
The Pimblett and Gaethje pairing certainly makes a lot of sense, but if you believe in Bisping, the UFC is ready to take advantage of UFC 317’s most viral moments.
