The said it was due to the discomfort of the rib on his left.
This is a very ominous injury for Freeman, the most valuable player in the modern World Series.
Freeman injured a rib in his heroic postseason run a few months ago, where he also dealt with a terrible ankle sprain.
It is unclear whether Freeman has been dealing with discomfort throughout the spring or if he randomly reorganized the Ribs ahead of the season’s opening game.
Freeman was practicing batting on the field before the game.
The already had no one of their superstars. Because when he recovered from the illness, Shortstop Mookie Betts was ruled out for the Tokyo Series.
Currently, LA must have two-thirds of the superstar trio on top of the lineup to launch its 2025 campaign.
Manager Dave Roberts will provide further updates on Freeman after the match.
