The Indiana Pacers’ strong team performance was what made them different to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Indiana Pacers opened at home in a series with the Milwaukee Bucks, winning their first game 117-98.
The Bucks managed to limit star-pacer player Tyrees Halliburton to just 10 points, but he still managed to make an impact in other ways.
Halliburton had seven rebounds and 12 assists, showing a significant difference from Milwaukee’s Kyle Kuzma.
Milwaukee Bucks head coach Dock Rivers was unhappy with his team’s offensive performance and described it as “bad.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 36 points, while AJ Green next scored 15 points, with little help.
In addition to the Bucks’ poor score, Rivers acknowledged the headache his team had when they tried to deal with Tyreese Halliburton.
At a postgame press conference, Rivers said: “Because he’s more than just a scorer.
“And on the night they’re taking things away, he’s smart enough to feel it and play for his teammates, and he’s happy to do it.
“He’s a point guard and I thought he personally had a hell of the game.
Tyreese Halliburton’s playmaking helped Pascal Siakam lead the team with 25 points in the Pacers’ opening victory.
Miles Turner scored 19 points, Andrew Nenbird scored 17 points and Benedict Matlin 13.
The Pacers led the game from start to finish, enjoying double-digit leads throughout the game.
Half an interesting moment came when Halliburton was involved in a fierce exchange with Damien Lillard.
Lillard is expected to return to Game 2 of the series, and his clash with Halliburton will notch the heat of the series.
