The NBA season is approaching crunch time, with teams settling into playoff positions and the story around players being redefine.

The biggest event of the NBA season is when the Los Angeles Lakers traded with Lukadon Sic, with Anthony Davis and Max Christie heading in the opposite direction.

Mavericks GM Nico Harrison went on a laughing stock around the league after Davis was injured in his debut, and Kyrie Irving suffered during a tearful ACL season.

Irving may not be seen again until early 2026, but Anthony Davis has returned to the Dallas Mavericks lineup.

Davis has his best game of the season with the Hawks, scoring 34 points, and excitement is built up in Dallas, and manager Jason Kidd is pleased with the way he gelled alongside Klay Thompson.

Former NBA star Jeff Teague is thrilled to see Anthony Davis in action as he is tired of seeing the Dallas Mavericks star be underestimated.

Asked about the early LA Lakers exits, Teague told the Club 520 podcast:

Teague believes that the better Luka Doncic, the more rudeness will be thrown in the direction of Anthony Davis.

So, to make his views more anti-donc than anti-laker, he went on. “I want to beat Bron.”

“I want to play badly for Luka, but I want to play great for Bron. I don’t care if they win or not. I don’t care that I don’t have skin in the game.

“But I want it, so it looks like an obvious ad ‘Why they (opponents) never won by playing such a Luka, we needed an ad.”

“I hope AD will take part in the play-in and get into the playoffs. The ads will average crazy, like 38-15.”

Teague played in the playoffs during his NBA career, telling how LeBron James masterminded a clean sweep for the Atlanta Hawks’ side. However, he clearly has high respect for his former competitors and Davis.

When Dallas Maverick made a deal with Anthony Davis, Nico Harrison revealed he was planning to win the championship soon.

Kyrie Irving’s injury ended it, but you’ll expect, but Mavericks are doing well to rally and stay competitive. After dropping to 11th place, they returned to 9th place in the Western Conference.

Teague believes it will simply go past the play-in and will be successful if it looks good at first round playoff losses.

“I’m just telling you how it wants it to unfold,” Teague added.

“If the ads get to the playoffs after such a long outing, get to the first round and make it interesting as if they’re going to win the game, then it’s a good trade…and the Lakers lose.”
