Ian Machado Garry and Jack Della Maddalena had a nasty interaction during UFC 315 Fight Week, but now the locks are open.
“The Future” recently told Ariel Helwani that Della Maddalena made a humiliating comment about his son in preparation for a May 10 pay-per-view in Montreal. According to Garry, he let his son get closer to Della Madalena with candy. Australia’s standout suggests that they should miss their weight and lose the fight (Garry was the official backup for the main event).
Della Madalena is said to have since suggested that Garry’s son was not him. The feud continued to build on Wednesday, with Garry taking cracks in Della Madarena’s physical appearance and comparing him to a deformed sloth from Goony.

“I’m in a comic book store in the UK. I’m shocked,” Garry said. “In my life, I’ve never seen the UFC move an action figure as fast as Jack Della Madalena. I’m so proud of you. Look at it. The World Champion and you have your f*cking action figure.
The Della Madalena Garry match will attract a lot of attention, especially when it comes to selling the fight. However, Della Maddalena’s first championship defense has already been announced as it is expected to compete with pound-pound king Islam Makhachev later this year after Makhachev vacated the lightweight title.
Della Maddalena is 8-0 in the UFC, 8-0 in a straight 18-match win dating back to 2016, with Garry 9-1 in the UFC, 9-1 with Garry 9-1, and recently with a victory at Carlo Spreitz, bouncing off his only octagon loss.
