Los Angeles outfielder James Outman has a locker at the clubhouse ahead of Thursday’s series finale and the New York Mets.

It remains unclear why Outman is on the major league team, but his arrival could indicate that the are set to move the roster.
In mid-May, Outman was selected by the when Tescar Hernandez was activated from the injured list. The 28-year-old hit .125 on two home runs, four runs hit, and an OPS of .597 was 0.597 in nine major league games.
This season at Triple A Oklahoma City, Outman has hit .271 with 12 home runs, 42 RBIs and .904 OPS in 181 at-bats.
Outman reportedly was a potential trade piece for the in discussions with the Chicago White Sox earlier this season. The surfaced outfielder Lewis Robert Jr.’s trade debate with the White Sox, but the reported return package included Outman and Top prospects.
This spring, Outman and Andy’s Page were competing for a chance to emerge as the ‘ everyday centre fielders. However, Page eventually won a spot, and Outman received an option to Triple A after the Tokyo Series.
Because of its value, Tommy Edman will be in the lineup on Thursday after missing the final two games due to an ankle injury.
