According to Athletic, Cobby Minee is increasingly open to leaving Manchester United as there is more uncertainty than his role under new head coach Reuben Amorim.
The 20-year-old England International broke into the senior set-up with high expectations and took part in the final 24 months of his contract at Old Trafford.
There are no new deals on the table and Amorim appears to prefer other midfield options, but Mainoo’s future depends on balance.
Mine has been considered one of the brightest prospects to emerge from United Academy in recent years.
Reuben Amorim benched Cobbie Mine
However, under Amorim, his opportunities appear to be limited. Reports suggest that the Portuguese coach is currently prioritizing other midfield profiles, leaving him frustrated and uncertain about where he fits into his long-term project.
In both Man United games this season in the Premier League, Mine was left on the bench and not used by his manager.
Following a 1-1 draw against Fulham, Amorim revealed that Meine is competing with Bruno Fernandez at the starting lineup location.
The situation is complicated by the lack of obvious destinations. Athletics emphasize that there are no many realistic suitors later in the transfer period, while Minee accepts leaving Manchester.
Man United Exit seems to be a logical option for Mainoo
This brings both the player and the club into delicate positions. United could reduce one of the most talented young players to lose in fees if an extension is not agreed, but if Minee stays on the edge of Amorim’s plan, there is a risk of stagnation.
Unless Amorim is relieved about his role, Mainoo may have few options other than seriously considering the exit route, even if his options are limited for now.
