Critics are piled up at the Phoenix Suns after failing to win a position with the Dallas Mavericks.
Despite the Dallas Mavericks’ meltdown and 2-8 runs in the last 10 games, the Phoenix Suns were unable to overtake them to grab a 10th place and a play-in tournament berth.
The latest loss was a loss at La Lakers where they risked being blown away from the first quarter and weren’t something to make it a contest.
It was a loss to star Devin Booker labelled “annoyed” and point out that he couldn’t start from the start.
Speaking about ESPN, former NBA star Kendrick Perkins claimed he torched the Phoenix Suns and gave up on manager Mike Budenholzer due to lack of effort.
He exploded.
Perkins sees the Suns as “a team that has left the coach,” and says he hopes Budenholzer will make a decision over the time he plays the star.
He explained: “What I’m looking at is a lack of passion. There’s no more rankings in the locker room, meaning there’s no more people in the franchise.
“I play people who compete for me, and that’s how Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beale’s few minutes go down and damn it at that point.
“He has nothing to lose,” he added in connection with Hoopwire’s report, claiming Budenholzer could be fired at the end of the season.
The Phoenix Suns could overhaul the Mavericks and take 10th place. But it can go straight to the end of the season.
The team has upcoming trick stretches, but tonight’s game against the obvious tanking Toronto Raptors is a very win-win game.
Following that, they will need to beat the Chicago Bulls, who are playing well now. It becomes very difficult afterwards, so it’s a must-see.
The Suns’ tough schedule line up games with the Cavaliers, Bucks, Celtics and Timberwolves.
