Luka Doncic has already influenced the Los Angeles community since he was traded with his team in the middle of the season.
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most iconic teams in NBA history. Obviously, they wore the iconic purple and gold jerseys by many talented superstars.
After the team traded with the former Dallas Mavericks star, Luka Donsic was the newest player to join the Lakers Superstars pedigree.
It’s been a long time since Luka was traded for the Lakers, but the 26-year-old has done it all with his power to show support for the Los Angeles community.
No matter how many stars play for purple and gold, it rarely comes to the legacy Kobe Bryant built over a 20-year stint with his team.
Clearly, the city of LA is filled with numerous Kobe murals. It appears that certain murals in downtown Los Angeles have been clearly destroyed.
As a result, GoFundMe pages have now repainted the iconic Kobe mural along with their daughter Gigi Bryant. Donsic took note and made a $5,000 donation to repaint the artwork.
The results are clear as incredible murals have recently been seen in their glory in just a few weeks.
The gesture has not been noticed by fans of the Lakers organization.
Supporting a team on the basketball court is one thing. Many stars have that ability, but not all players connect with the fanbase from the court.
Doncic’s $5,000 donation helped five times the NBA All-Stars achieve the latter.
“Thank you, Luka!” a fan wrote. Another has been added, but “Y’all please leave Kobe alone. Stop dislikeing it already.”
One fan requested: “Give him a maximum contract extension for 10 years!”
“Luka Donsic You’re a Real Person!” A fourth Laker fan has been added.
“Luke’s elegant movement,” another fan said.
Most fans, as expected, appreciated Donsic’s kind gestures, but many were mad at the person who destroyed the iconic mural in the first place.
