After welcoming Sean Longstaff earlier this week, Leeds United is set to sign another midfield star in a deal of more than £17 million this summer.
Longstaff: Leeds is the “perfect” move
When it comes to Whites’ fifth summer signature, Longstaff will instantly add much needed Premier League know-how to Daniel Fark ahead of next season. The former Newcastle midfielder doesn’t steal the same headlines as Jaka Bijol’s, but he has proven to be equally important on Elland Road.
When he spoke for the first time after putting the pen on paper, Longstaff told the official Leeds website. “I spoke to (Karr) Darrow right away and I have to meet everyone. It seems like a really good group. I’ve heard something great.
“I think I have to say something to a team that wants you and a club that really wants you. From the first time I spoke to Leeds, I feel they really wanted me.
“It’s just you’re confident and you want to pay those people back. It’s a huge, large football club that resembles Newcastle in many ways.

White people are offering more numbers…
“To be honest, it took a lot of time to leave Newcastle. I wasn’t planning on leaving to go anywhere, so it had to be the right place for me and my family. I think this is the perfect place. I watched almost every game and got to see a really exciting team that was athletic.
But as pleased that they signed Longstaff, the 49ers have not stopped there. The report now shows that he has instantly agreed to another deal to sign another fresh face and another midfield star.
Leeds agrees to sign Anton Schutt
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Leeds is currently planning to sign Anton Stach after agreeing to a deal of more than 20 million euros (£17 million) with Bundesliga Club Hoffenheim. The 6’4 midfielder will be putting pens on paper on a four-year contract as the people of Elland Road prepare to welcome another signature.
His name has many Bundesliga experiences, and even in his appearance in the Europa League last season, Stach represents another solid signature by everyone involved in Leeds.
It’s not surprising that the towering midfielder has earned impressive admiration for his time in Germany. Former coach Florian Koefeld recalls Schutt’s days as a youth player for Werder Bremen, claiming he is already a talented player at a young age. “He didn’t have that easy time here in Welder when he was at boarding school.
“He was physically a little behind his peers when he was younger, but in my opinion he was already very strategic in his game and incredibly goal-oriented and ambitious.”
Athletic Belencross shared on X on Saturday, praised Stach for his response to the deal. “Another Giants, another 26-year-old Leeds, is completing Anton Stuck’s transfer (over £17.3 million), a real unit that played as a defensive midfielder with Hoffenheim.”
