Leeds United are chasing promotion to the Premier League and are seeing rising favourites as the winner of the championship this season.
It has inevitably seen the rumours of the transfer before anything could become a big summer window for Yorkshire outfits.
Leeds must get the right signature to strengthen their team for the challenge of staying on top flights, and one celebrity linked to the club is Evan Ferguson.
Valued at around £45 million, Republic of Ireland International is on loan from Brighton, West Ham until the end of the season.
It was a difficult year or so for Ferguson. His form is completely nose dives and Leeds recommends staying away from this potential deal.
Leeds United warned against signing expensive Evan Ferguson
Discussing the link, former Aston Villa Man Lee Hendry said:
“For a club that has been promoted to the Premier League, rather than a more established striker who knows where the back of the net is, the £45 million price tag could be a bit of a gamble.
“Yes, he knows where the back of the net is, but when he spends so much money on a player who could get injured, he’s always worried.
Brighton definitely wants a Ferguson buyer and West Ham probably doesn’t want to sign him forever, meaning clubs like Leeds will get this chance.
Still, there are probably times when LUFC doesn’t take risks on form Ferguson right now.
