In his scrutiny of Ferrari team principal Frederick Vasser, Lewis Hamilton emphasizes the importance of “blocking noise.”
Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, several Italian media outlets reported that Vasser is under severe pressure to keep him up.
Ferrari has already surpassed 200 points for McLaren in his 2025 F1 constructor standings after 10 races.
Scuderia has not won a race so far in F1 2025. The pre-season hype quickly dissipated Hamilton’s arrival at Maranello.
Ferrari is beginning to introduce many important upgrades to the SF-25, so the next few races are important.
A new floor has been introduced for this weekend’s race at the Red Bull Ring.
Charles Leclerc praised the new upgrade in the front row starting position of Sunday’s race.
Speaking to Sky Sports after qualifying, Hamilton was positive about Ferrari’s progress.
When asked whether positive outcomes would be welcomed in light of Vasseur’s speculation, he replied.
“We’re just working. I’m working with Fred. I’m working to put every part of the puzzle in the right place, but one step at a time.
“I’m really, really happy with the progress we’re making.”
Ferrari “World Class” in qualifying round
Lewis Hamilton was full of praise for how Ferrari was operational in qualifying.
The seven-time world champion has been frustrated with the team’s lack of clarity over radio and misunderstandings throughout the season.
“No, that’s a great result. The team has worked really hard this weekend to bring us a new floor,” explained Hamilton.
“I think yesterday we were all the way apart. I think we were sixth to ninetyth. I think it’s really great for us to be much closer and in the second row. For Charles, he’s in the front row. I think my final lap was not perfect in the end.
“If I had finished (the lap), I think it would have been the second. There were so many positive things to take from that session. I think it was the best day.
“The timing, the information we get from a traffic perspective, the placement on the tracks was really great. It was right world class, so that’s what we’ve been working on.”
