Liverpool is looking to improve their attacking units and is monitoring the tabs of Ipswich town striker Liam Dellup.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also enthusiastic about their players. According to a TBR Football report, all three clubs sent scouts on Saturday to see the 22-year-old striker active.
Delap has been a bright spark for Ipswich this season with an otherwise boring campaign. The 22-year-old has scored 12 league goals this season, and his coaching and experience have helped him improve further.
He has been described as a “quality player” recently, and there is no doubt that he has the attributes to succeed at the highest level. Delap will want to compete at the highest level. Opportunities to join clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle would be difficult to refuse for him.
Liam Dellup would want to move on.
It will be interesting to see if the three clubs decide to follow up their interest with their official offer to sign him at the end of the season. Ipswich certainly goes to the championship and they are under pressure to sell some of the best players.
The young attackers wanted to stay on top flights and were able to force exits in the summer. Liverpool will need an upgrade from Darwin Nunes, and Delap will be a quality long-term investment. He was able to develop into a key player for them with proper guidance.
Similarly, Tottenham needs more depth in their attacking units. The 22-year-old was able to support Dominic Solanke in the attack. In Newcastle, he was able to replace Callum Wilson and support Alexander Isaac. If Swedish International decides to leave the club, Delap can also replace him.
