Liverpool attacker Louis Diaz has linked his move away from the summer club and has identified Zabi Simons as his replacement for Columbia International.
Barcelona is interested in signing Diaz this summer and will be interesting to see if they have decided to make a move for him in the coming months.
Fichejes reports that Simons is taking part in Liverpool’s radar as a potential replacement, but will face competition between Arsenal and Manchester United.
All three Premier League clubs are enthusiastic about the Netherlands International and will cost around £60 million this summer.
Liverpool can use Xavi Simons
The Simons have done very well at RB Leipzig and have 11 goals and eight assists in his name in all competitions. He is welcomed as an “exceptional” player.
The 22-year-old can act as a midfielder and wide player in central attacks. He was able to prove that it was a great acquisition for Liverpool if they could get the deal done. He adds creativity and goals aside. His ability to manipulate in multiple roles is an additional bonus.
Arsenal and Man United Keene
As far as Arsenal is concerned, there’s more depth in the last third. Gabriel Martinelli has had a disappointing season and Arsenal needs more competition for the place. Dutch International was able to compete with the Brazilians for the starting spot. More competition for the place will help Arsenal improve as a team.
Finally, Manchester United are also keeping an eye on Simons. They are very sorry. Players like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are overwhelming this season. Manchester United will need more cutting edge in the final third, and the 22-year-old could be an ideal acquisition.
It is fair to assume that all three clubs have the resources to complete the transaction.
