Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their 30th match IPL 2025 On April 14th, Bharat Ratna Shuria Tarbi Harivappai Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
LSG has been harboring momentum in his upcoming match against the Chennai Super Kings, taking the victory from the jaws of defeat against MI and KKR after getting off to a volatile start with DC in the first match of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings have experienced a completely different story, losing five games in a row for the first time in tournament history. The former champion is still looking for the right team combination.
LSG plays 11 vs CSK-IPL 2025, Match 30.
Openers: Aiden Marklum, Mitchell Marsh
Aiden Marklum opens up the Lucknow Supergiants innings alongside Mitchell Marsh. Markram aims to score some runs under his belt after failing to score a big score in the final few matches.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh is suited to LSG at the top of the order, consistently scoring team runs, except for one match where he was fired for ducks against PBK. The Australian all-rounder began the 2025 IPL season in a half-century against DC.
Intermediate batters and all-arounds: Nicholas Fourlan, Ayu Badoni, Rishab Pants (C/wk), Shabaz Ahmed, David Miller, Shardur Thakur
The opening pair of Marclam and Marsh is followed by Nicholas Foran. Nicholas Forlan, along with Marsh, is a standout batter for LSG and one of the leading run scorers of the tournament so far.
Lucknow’s Super Giants were hoping that the intermediate batter would get a little more timeout in the middle as the majority of the team’s runs were scored by Marklam, Marsh and Poolan for most of the games this season.
That being said, players like Ayush Badoni, Shahbaz Ahmed, David Miller and Abdul Samad have made useful contributions to LSG whenever they have the opportunity to get a batting opportunity, especially in the final five overs during their first batting.
Super Giants managers in Lucknow will be worried about the shape of Rishabh pants. The left-handed batter has yet to contribute to the bat in the ongoing IPL season. I’m not denying the fact that Pants did a good job in how they handled inexperienced bowling attacks, but he wants to win a run.
Bowlers: Manimaran Siddharth, Rabbi Bishnoy, Digush Singh Rati, Akashdeep
Lucknow’s Super Giants are the strongest bowling lineup on paper, led by Digvesh Rathi, who overtakes Ravivishnoy as the first choice spinner.
Apart from Digvesh, players with international experience like Shardul Thakur and Akash Deep picked up wickets at a critical moment for their team, despite being on the expensive side as far as economics go.
