Arsenal is ready for an important summer transfer window, with its main purpose being the signature of a top striker to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s team.
Despite his favorites for the Premier League title, the gunners found themselves 12 points ahead of league leader Liverpool.
A series of injuries to major attackers, including Buka Yosaka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kaihabaatz, have significantly hindered Arsenal’s performance this season.
The club’s failure to bolster its offense in January could cost money to pursue the title, making the summer window even more important.
Among the numerous strikers associated with Arsenal, Alexander Isaac and Benjamin Sesco have emerged as top targets.
However, Sesko appears to be a more realistic option, with recent reports suggesting he is on sale on his move to North London.
Keown: Arsenal concludes his new striker
Former Arsenal defender and TNT Sports expert Martin Keeun suggests the club may have already concluded their deal with a new striker.
Speaking about TNT Sports, Keown speculated:
“I suggest that there are players who have already purchased them and that is already being done from an arsenal perspective. They haven’t made this mistake again.”
Despite Keown’s claims, it is unlikely that the club has already secured a transfer, given behind the scenes developments regarding the new sports director. Andre Berta is scheduled to be appointed, but has not been officially confirmed yet.
However, if Keown’s claims are true, the agreed transaction could be in Sesko, not in Isak. The Newcastle chairman doesn’t intend to break up with his favorite player, but wants to build on his League Cup victory.
Meanwhile, Sesco is strongly linked to his move from his final transfer window to the North London Club.
The players then decided to stay in another season, but this move didn’t happen as they were keen on moving this summer.
The 21-year-old Slovenian International rose rapidly through the superior Red Bull football system at Red Bull Salzburg before switching to RB Leipzig in 2023.
His performance in Germany has been impressive, continuing the campaign with 18 goals in his debut season and 17 goals and 6 assists in 36 appearances.
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches, Sesko offers a physical presence that is currently lacking at Arsenal’s forefront. His fusion of technical skills, strength and finishing ability makes him the ideal candidate to lead the Arteta attack.
