Manchester United star Bruno Fernandez reportedly came very close to Tottenham a few months before he went to Old Trafford.
Portugal International was a rare success story for Man UTD, who was proven to be a sign inspired by Sports Lisbon in January 2020, during the post-seal Alex Ferguson era.
Fernandez is lining up with the Red Devils in tonight’s Europa League final against the Spurs, but it appears he has almost reached north of London.
Speaking to BBC Sports, Fernandez received a “surprising” offer from Tottenham, according to sources close to the deal. Tottenham has made players happy and calmed down by joining the club under Mauricio Pockettino.
Tottenham’s Bruno Fernandez’s transfer batting has been revealed
I imagine that other top clubs saw Fernandez at the time, but Tottenham would certainly live to regret this as it sounds like this deal was mostly done before it fell late.
“They were absolutely the next level when it comes to details,” a source told BBC Sport.
“Even the training ground rooms were each decorated like a bedroom for a player at home.
“The beds were exactly the same. Even the garden flowers gave off a scent intended to be beneficial.
“There were two weeks left in the window, and sports were going to accept it.”
Will Bruno Fernandez be able to extinguish the fire to the final glory of the Europa League?
Fernandez hopes to play a key role in MUFC at Bilbao tonight and punish the Spurs even more.
Both of these underachieving clubs have poor Premier League campaigns, but they can make up for it tonight by winning major European trophies, and have also booked locations in the Champions League next season.
Fernandez is one player on this united side where you really return to Mainman tonight, but it’s an unpredictable game between two outward sides.
