Arsenal has had a busy summer so far, and their busyness is far from being in terms of both signing and selling. In particular, it is expected that Gabriel Jesus will depart as Victor Gyoker has become Mikel Arteta’s new starting centre.
Arsenal has accepted an offer to Jesus, who has been out since January after suffering an ACL injury in a tie in the third round of the FA Cup with Man United. The 28-year-old headed from Man City to North London three years ago, a solid performer at Emirates, but now that he has been replaced, his time at the club is almost certainly over.
Insider Tips Tips for Gabriel Jesus for Returning to Brazil
Many European clubs, including parts of the Premier League, are believed to be interested in Jesus, but according to Pete O’Rourke (via Football Insider), the most likely outcome ahead is his return to his hometown.
“Maybe Gabriel Jesus will return to Brazil. I think that will be a more likely option for him. Return to his hometown. Clearly, Brazilian clubs have a little more wealth and funds to work with them these days, so I think it will be a good solution for all parties.”
Arsenal wants to generate a great return on his investment in Jesus, and considering that Brazilian clubs are not afraid to spend much, when one of the country’s big boys comes in, they can get their wish.
For now, it remains to be seen how the situation with Jesus will happen. He may not be making any serious moves for another few weeks as he is still recovering from the aforementioned ACL damage.
