According to documents submitted to Companies House, Neat Burger, a restaurant chain supported by Lewis Hamilton, has settled it after increasing its long-standing losses.
On July 22nd, Neat Burger held a general meeting and passed a special resolution to “voluntarily” lure the company. The liquidator was authorized to issue the remaining assets of the Company to shareholders.
The bankruptcy form was then issued on July 31 by the FRP Advisory liquidator, which was processed by the company’s home.
The bankruptcy notice confirmed that major shareholders believed that they could fully pay all their debts along with interest within 12 months.
Neat Burgers held assets worth £1,279,044 on July 2, 2025, most of which were tied to investments.
“We strictly and honestly declare that we have investigated the company’s operations in a full manner and in doing so, that the company has formed the opinion that within 12 months, it will be able to pay its debt in full with interest within 12 months of the start of the winding,” the shareholders said.
“We add our statement of assets and liabilities on July 2, 2025 that it is the most recent and viable date prior to the creation of this declaration. We make this strict declaration and consider it true, and we believe it in good faith thanks to the provisions of the Statute Declaration Act 1835.”
Lewis Hamilton Food Chain Closes the Door
Seven-time F1 champion Hamilton launched the plant-based food chain NEET burger in 2019 shortly after adopting the vegan diet.
The company opened its first restaurant on London’s Regent Street and quickly expanded to major international destinations, including Milan and New York.
It operated eight London restaurants at its peak, but have gradually closed in recent years, with the last two UK-based restaurants closing earlier this year.
Neat Burger struggled to make profits in the business over six years, recording a loss of £7.86 million in 2022.
Apart from Hamilton, the company counted several other A-list celebrities as investors. It included Hollywood star Leonardo Di Caprio and Belgian footballer Thibaut Courtau.
