The Los Angeles and Philadelphia Phillies will begin Game 1 of the National League Division Series at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, October 4th.

Two-way player Shohei Ohtani has been on the mound for the in Game 1. Ohtani makes his postseason debut as a pitcher after a dominant regular season, earning a 2.87 ERA with 62 strikeouts in 47 innings.
In September, Otani started three times and allowed zero-grown runs over 14.2 innings with 18 strikeouts. He faced the Phillies in the penultimate start of the regular season, pitching five no-hit innings.
On the other side of Otani is left-handed Christopher Sanchez’s Phillies ace.

He faced the twice this season, scoring four runs in 5.2 innings on April 6th and four runs in 7 innings on September 16th.
Max Muncy is not in the lineup for the NLDS Game 1, so Kiké Hernandez is off to a hot corner.
Will Smith, who was on an active roster but never played in the wildcard series, has yet to be in the lineup despite being on the team’s 26-man roster. Ben Rortvedt is off to another start with the catcher.
