Los Angeles superstar Shohai Otani was scheduled to throw the bullpen on Wednesday, but those plans were caught.

The pitching coach Mark explained to Orange County Register Bill Plunkett, who Otani couldn’t throw when he was home on his father’s holiday last weekend, so the were hoping to play catches several times for backup this week.
Otani is scheduled to throw the bullpen next Saturday. The pitching saga was a very roller coaster for the as the team navigates two-way players.

“We’re still a few months away from home,” manager Dave Roberts said recently. “I know it’s still vague. We’re trying to get to the next step and see where we are. I hope he will pitch for us this year and throughout the postseason.”
The superstar is off to a slow start off offensively in the sense that he doesn’t post the same numbers he’s previously recorded in his first 23 games of 2024.
Otani has some changes in 2025 as he prepares to return to two-way status with the . Beyond this sport, Otani became a father last weekend. Part of the reason for his poor performance could be lack of sleep or simply a change in overall lifestyle in three new families.
