The UFC White House is one step closer to reality.
That’s at least, according to President Donald Trump, who announced that the proposed event will be held on June 14, 2026, ahead of the United States’ 250th Independence Day celebration in July. June 14th is also the date for Trump’s 80th birthday.
Trump made the announcement while speaking to a gathering of military personnel at Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia. Check out the clip below.
UFC CEO Dana White has mentioned the event in June earlier, which is the first time an exact date has been proposed. If Trump’s statement proves accurate, it would be a rare Sunday event for the UFC. This usually runs a pay-per-view and fight night on Saturday.
White is hesitant to lay out specific plans for the UFC White House, and in an interview he says many logistical concerns should still be resolved, especially when it comes to security. UFC stars, including Conor McGregor and John Jones, volunteered to serve the event, but White refused to verbally commit any of the fighters to the lineup.
Trump has been a longtime UFC supporter and has been frequently featured at events, particularly during his second presidency. He announced plans for the UFC White House event this July. White quickly confirmed in subsequent interviews.
