The doubles partnership between Katie Boulter and Emmaradukanu at the Queens Club Championship fell to a 6-2, 7-5 defeat on Wednesday, with Ludmirakichenok and Erinluluf losing 6-2, 7-5.

The duo ranked number one and number two in the UK, respectively, and were denied a clash with compatriots Jody Barage and Sonay Kartal after being beaten by Kichenok and Rootrif in the previous round.

Boulter and Raducanu won China’s Xinyu Jiang and Taiwan’s Fang-Hsien Wu on Monday marked the first competitive doubles match that Kichenok and Routliffe showed, as well as the lack of chemistry that Kichenok and Routliffe showed.

Kichenok and Routliffe set the tone early by taking a break on their first occasion with a forehand placed in the middle of the courthouse after a long meeting.

They took the opening set comfortably at Andy Murray Arena, but the British duo went on to fight even more for the second.

They got their first break when Radukanu overwhelmed routliffe on the net before Britt was held.

However, Boulter and Raducanu wereted three breakpoints in the next game as they got an unlikely hold with the top seed.

The duo, duo called “Boultercanu”, missed the opportunity as their opponent booked their place in the third round after Raducanu sent a forehand when Kichenok and Routliffe scored a deserved victory in West London.

Later on Wednesday, Sonay Cartal fought American Amanda Anisimova with a female single.

Kartal, who scored the biggest win of his early career on Monday, did not match Anisimova as he went 6-1, 6-3 defeat in an hour and five minutes.

Anishimoba will face his fellow countryman Emma Navarro in the quarter-finals.
