Liverpool hopes to sell Federico Chiesa during the summer transfer.
The Italian has not lived up to expectations since joining the club last summer. According to a report from Sky Sports, Liverpool is hoping to sell him for a fee of around 15 million euros.
Chiesa needs to go ahead
He has linked his return to Italy and it will be interesting to see which clubs will advance and offer an exit route. The 27-year-old is a quality player, but he hasn’t been at his best in recent season. His career has been plagued by injuries over the past few years. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to return to his best and get his career back on track.
Perhaps his return to Italy would be ideal for him. Returning to his comfort zone will help him rebuild his confidence. He needs to join a club he plays regularly.
Liverpool wants to sign Malik Fofana
Meanwhile, SkySports reports claim that Liverpool has already identified potential alternatives. They are passionate about Lyon’s winger Malic Fofana. Barry Hunter, the chief scout for Liverpool, is a huge admirer of the 20-year-old attacker and wants to sign the player. They have to pay around £43 million to sign the Belgians.
He is a tremendous talent with a bright future, and was able to add much needed pace and unpredictability to Liverpool’s offense. They are deeply lacking in a wide area. They are overly dependent on Mohamed Sarah and Luis Diaz.
Fofana is a solid long-term investment. The opportunity to play for the Premier League champions is also extremely exciting for attackers. British regular football can help him grow further and fulfill his potential. The Belgian had 11 goals and six assists to his name this past season.
